I read Most Ardently and I also enjoyed it, but I had some logistical qualms that kept pulling me out of the story. I kept reminding myself that it’s YA and to just let it be fun because I want more trans and queer retellings like this, but what if he needed to take off his top hat??

Wow so much high praise for Martyr - incredible. Feeling very pulled to reading it now as you’re the fourth book person (!) with reading taste that I very much trust that’s shouted it’s praise! Also drawn to ‘And Then She Fell’ and ‘For Now it is Night’! Thanks for the exposure! Love all the snowy pics 🩵 just glorious

My love of Martyr! really knows no bounds—I hope you love it! Definitely a book of my life. I didn’t love For Now It Is Night but I did find it really interesting and worthwhile and it made me want to learn more about Kashmir. And the Elliott is incredible! Really dark but also hopeful. And I’m so glad you’re enjoying all the snow pics! ❄️
