Greetings, book people! I had a regular newsletter all set to go for today, but I’m putting it on hold because this week is the Trans Rights Readathon! The readathon is a decentralized fundraising effort dreamed up by author Sim Kern—you can read all about it here
This was/is a magnificent post, Laura -- WOW. What a resource. (And, so happy to see Room of One's Own of your list of bookstores participating in the Readathon -- I hope to make it there this week to pick up Voice of the Fish and How Far the Light Reaches and whatever else catches my eye.)
Oh my gosh. This is a wonderful list--thank you for sharing Laura! One of my kids is trans and since making the transition he is so much happier. I'll never understand the hate.
I donated $25 to the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund and $25 to my local LGBTQ+ center. I’ve been sharing this newsletter everywhere because what an amazing resource! Thank you for taking the time to compile it
INCREDIBLE! What a list of books, and what a list of organizations! Thank you for compiling both. I donated to the Transgender Law Center. Also, the tulips were glorious.
This is such a valuable list, Laura. I appreciate the work you did to pull it all together and make it so easy to use and to share. Thank you!
Love so many of these titles! Snagged one of my tbrs from your bookshop. Thanks!
This is absolutely incredible. You have done a great service by putting this list together. As a lover of book lists and queer lit you made my day/week/month/year!
Wow. This is inspiring.
Thank you for this list! I just bought "All boys aren't blue". Coincidentally, Roxane Gay is featuring "Hijab Butch Blues" this month, so I've got that one as well. Looking forward to getting stuck into these and learning!
