the loud caring made me think of parks and recs and Leslie Knope's "people caring loudly at me" https://screenrant.com/leslie-knope-quotes-that-make-us-miss-parks-rec/

I’m currently doing a slow read of Parable of the Talents with my daughter. Lots of discussion about community- not just that you should be in it but how it functions, how it stays healthy, and how you maintain it.

I also saw a fox twice last month (I'm in Colorado)!

I've been re-reading Parable of the Sower in real-time, by the dated entries.

I liked your 5,4,3,2,1 style.

Oh wow, that is such an interesting idea to read it in real time...what is it like to read it so slowly? Yay foxes!

The Unmuseum of Tree Parts---this really resonated! I just learned about the Toronto Zoo's "biobank" that preserves the living cells of over 50 endangered species. The cryogenic lab contains oocytes and sperm that can be used for AI (not that pesky AI--artificial insemination)---and they've successfully done it with 35 year old living cells to 'produce' a wood bison. I know there is a seed vault in the Arctic (Svalbard Global Seed Vault) but your tree parts collection is a more joyful and fun twist in continuing a tree's story.

Came here to say the same! I think it's "keep trusting and using your imagination."
